In Canada, several provinces (Ontario, Nova Scotia, Alberta, British Columbia and possibly more) provide tax-funded breast augmentations for TIMs. I cannot get over the fact that my hard-earned money is being used to pay for a MAN to feel sexy with big tits because according to the law, this is his human right.

There are so many ways this makes my head spin...

  • This is just confirming the that a woman is just seen as a pair of tits.
  • Why can't women get the same surgery paid for?
  • Why can't I opt out of this?
  • Everyone I mention this to is also outraged. Why weren't people made aware of this?
  • How do we make our voices heard and have this changed?

Here's a link to just one news story covering this.

We can't even get our teeth cleanings covered but TIMs get free boobs. Unreal. How does anyone believe that TIMs need implants? I had an eating disorder when I was a teenager, why wasn't I offered free life-saving liposuction? Canada's level of wokeism honestly disgusts me. It's not even wokeism at this point, it's just virtue signaling.

How does anyone believe that TIMs need implants?

Not only, but if twans wimmns are real wimmins, why do they need the surgery? Their identity is enough!

[–] Proserpina 13 points (+13|-0)

Exactly. Some women just naturally have flat chests. Deal with it. We don't need breasts to "feel complete".

[–] Jade 12 points (+12|-0)

Meanwhile my mum had breast cancer and she had to fight for months for the health insurance company to pay / co-pay for the matching implant (to the breast that was fully removed) in the breast that was partially removed.

[–] yikesforever 11 points (+11|-0)

Do other single-payer health care systems cover teeth cleanings? I've heard Canada is the only one that doesn't cover drug costs, but never anything dental related.

The UK subsidizes all non-cosmetic dental procedures. A root canal only costs about £60. Certain populations (young people, receiving certain benefits, pregnant WOMEN, off the top of my head) get it all for free.

[–] OneStarWolf 45 points (+46|-1)

I really don’t understand this. Millions of women are flat chested or have mismatched boobs — they are no less of a woman for it! And these women will never be offered free cosmetic surgery for their breasts even if it causes them body dysmorphia and they threaten suicide.

So whyyyyy are tims given the surgery for free?Their hormone grown “breasts” fall within the same expected size and shapes as millions of other women’s breasts. What bullshit.

The male privilege is gross and I’m disgusted at the double standard of care here. A flat chested women needs to sue these bastards for blatant sexism in the medical system.

Read this comment under an NHS England blog post:

I have no issues with my treatment so far however, I fear that I will be left “half finished”. NHS funding for electrolysis is insufficient for completing the treatment and there is no provision for any breast surgery. I have worked hard all my life and paid national insurance for forty years. An acceptable bust is extremely important to any woman and having to shave is degrading. I cannot wear anything that is pretty because I am so self conscious about my lack of a bust. Why is the mental impact of this conveniently ignored? Given accepted government figures that show over 80% of trans people are unemployed how on earth are we supposed to pay for breast augmentation ourselves? We enter transition to alleviate the damaging psychological anguish that we all feel yet,by refusing this surgery the NHS are simply compounding our problems. Please give us what we know we need not what you think we need. We are human beings not numbers on a spread sheet!!!.

They're insufferable.

[–] OurLady 17 points (+17|-0)

The audacity to actually think that the point of national insurance is to fund anime tiddies? Yuck!

Maybe he should get a job and pay for it like every actual woman who has elective cosmetic surgery has to and stop being a whiny NEET.

[–] Tnetennba 8 points (+8|-0)

Uh he can't do that because then he'll have less time for masturbation.

[–] Jade 12 points (+12|-0)

Literal. Violence.

[–] dixiechick547 11 points (+12|-1)

Having to shave is degrading? 🙄 I’ve been shaving my face daily for more than 20 years. It’s annoying. Aggravating. And given I’m prone to ingrown hairs I have disfiguring scars, but degrading? WTF? Get off your ass and pay for your own electrolysis like a REAL WOMAN. No one pays for that shit for us even though facial hair on woman can be caused by ACTUAL Medical conditions.

Frankly I’m amazed women haven’t burned the whole damned country down over this shit.

"I am so self conscious about my lack of a bust."

Omg there's millions of REAL women out there who don't have 32J sized boobs and we just get on with our lives despite it being the beauty standard. The entitlement is off the charts.

[–] jvsmine 4 points (+4|-0)

this made me absolutely sick to my stomach. I fucking hate these dudes.

I cannot wear anything that is pretty because I am so self conscious about my lack of a bust.

Real women are flat chested you narcissistic POS.

Doesn’t estrogen stimulate growth of breast tissue anyway? What’s their argument for implants? “I will kill myself if I don’t get a G cup”?

[–] BlackStones 25 points (+25|-0)

Yup. So many women deal with being flat-chested. If someone really want to get a boob job, no one is going to stop them, but even then the first approach is telling them they don't need one because they're already enough.

[–] Jade 9 points (+10|-1)

So many women deal with being flat-chested.

I think of Claire Danes, and as a lesbian, need to stop myself from derailing an important post with thirsty comments.

[–] bumpyjerboa 17 points (+17|-0)

Meanwhile some women are at the end of their rope from back pain etc. Does the Canadian govt cover reductions?!

What you get for healthcare is decided on by the province. In Ontario, it looks like it is covered. From what I can tell, you have to apply, it's taken on a case-by-case basis, it has to be for functional reasons, and it takes forever to get approval. To be fair, the last point applies to basically every non-emergency procedure in Ontario.

[–] Srfthrowaway 0 points (+0|-0)

You need the right surgeon. The good ones know exactly how to get it approved.

[–] Lesbionia 2 points (+2|-0)

It can be covered in some provinces, but it’s really hard to get approved and they make you jump through a lot of hoops. My wife has been trying for years.

[–] bumpyjerboa 1 points (+1|-0)

Ugh I'm so sorry to hear that. My cousin got "ferrari insurance" or something through her job and was finally able to get it done, and it was life-changing. I wouldn't recommend american healthcare but I guess sometimes it's better. I hope they finally listen to your wife.

[–] yikesforever 16 points (+16|-0)

You're denying their humanity if they can't get rice bowl boobs.

[–] ixora 13 points (+13|-0)

By the virtue of them being men, even if larger breasts run in their family they can't really get that big and what with their overall chest and shoulder size it doesn't look that much different. But still this shit shouldn't be covered by women's money. Women don't get to pick and choose their beast size this is so stupid.

[–] dixiechick547 7 points (+7|-0)

And the implants look ridiculous on them anyway.

[–] jvsmine 3 points (+3|-0)

dude so do the fake hormone tiddies. they look so weird. and like... I'm sorry. attraction to a man is attraction to a stereotypical fit male body usually. attraction to a fit and healthy female body is that. like... it's REALLY REALLY weird seeing boobs on my male friend. it doesn't make him look female. just like someone with a hormone problem.

That's what I thought? I thought loads of TIMs get B or C cups through estrogen and I thought a B/C cup was the average cup size for non-overweight (real) women anyway so it's something they should be happy with. I guess this just reaffirms what we already knew: they don't want to be REAL women, they want to be fantasy anime/hentai women with K sized boobs.

[–] Lolo 22 points (+22|-0)

This is absolutely insane. Won't this be like a million dollars per person? Bottom surgeries are covered also, those are expensive as fuck without complications.

[–] bellatrixbells 0 points (+0|-0)

It's certainly not a million dollars issue per person. I'd be surprised if it was 100k.

[–] my_pronouns_are_she_her_terf 17 points (+17|-0) Edited

I was just wondering about this. It's MOST ESPECIALLY enraging that AGPs are having the boobjobs they need to get their rocks off paid for by insurance, but honestly i'm pissed about state-funded or even private health insurance covering SRS whether they're butchering TIMs or TIFs.

And i get that the sexism is infuriating, and i get that if AGPs can have their tits paid for women who want boobjobs should get them paid for too, and in any case tax-dollars shouldn't go to that shit. TOTALLY FUCKING UNFAIR.

But ALSO, in the U.S. i suspect private health insurance costs for people who have ACTUAL REAL LIFE-THREATENING MEDICAL CONDITIONS not just narcissistic delusion or a paraphilia or social contagion or dysphoria or what-the-fuck and the costs of their life-saving treatments are going to get jacked the fuck up because insurance is covering unnecessarily bodily mutilations. I'm trying to find numbers on this, maybe it's not that significant--yet--but i'm interested in numbers and can't find any numbers. Does anyone have any?

(I was actually going to make a post ranting about this but then saw your post and decided maybe it would be better to jump into this post rather than make a separate post and drown other posts out. Idk. Sorry if i've hijacked your post.)

[–] goodyusername 9 points (+9|-0)

It means everyone's rates will go up, what we pay for our insurance, it's not quite what you picture.

Because health care is a for-profit industry, there is every incentive for doctors to respond to new demands for surgeries, and there is a reason that most often the procedure done first is breast augmentation/amputation--these are standardized procedures. SRS/genital reconstruction is not, and has a high rate of complications requiring subsequent surgeries, 40-60%, roughly. Plus it has the benefit of being evident while one is clothed, which is what AGP's want, to be seen.

[–] dixiechick547 4 points (+4|-0)

So far my insurance doesn’t cover this fuckery and I’ll be surprised if it ever does. Currently I pay $100 an hour for electrolysis. (I don’t so much mind the hair but the scarring from ingrowns are a bit much. I get them even if I don’t shave!) If my insurance ever pays for free electrolysis for these pervs I’m dropping them immediately. My premium s are absolutely ridiculous now. Paying for these surgeries and revisions given the complication rate will bankrupt us all.

[–] Labrys 16 points (+16|-0) Edited

OMFG...This is just insane ! So it's a long waiting time to get free surgery and that's why they are whinging ... the entitltement of these freaking males !! They are just putrid!!

[–] FFS 12 points (+12|-0)

TiM: i’m distressed because I was born in the wrong body. Surgery will make me feel better.

Government: sorry you were born in the wrong body. Promises to fix that.

TiM: Thanks. Has surgery, complications. Is still miserable.

So no change, just billions of tax payer money down the drain.

Not to even mention the sexism in this.

Sheesh.

And

[–] bellatrixbells 1 points (+1|-0)

To also not mention that he's making a huge chunk of the population around him unhappy in the process.

The idea that any mental condition can be cured with cosmetic surgery is beyond disgusting and it disturbs me that any feminist-identifying person can support it. Suddenly all critique of beauty standards goes down the drain all because a bunch of horny men with AGP want to turn themselves into sex dolls. I've spent my entire life with small breasts and I have zero sympathy for narcissistic men who claim they need boob jobs to prevent mental suffering and suicide. They do not. They are just high on male entitlement.

[–] [Deleted] 7 points (+7|-0)

For fucks sake. Isn't the ebegging enough..?

Obviously not! I already said it. I hate it here.

[–] BlackMoonLilith 7 points (+7|-0) Edited

Yup, it sucks. I even know a TIM who added porn-y breast implants onto his surgery as an afterthought as if ordering an à la carte sundae with sprinkles. It was that easy.

This is why I'm voting for the smallest gov party next election round. I'm tired of my taxes funding this nonsense.

[–] proudcatlady 2 points (+2|-0)

I’m American and tbh this is why I still lean libertarian even after becoming feminist. Men are the most represented by government. The only solution is to keep the government small and weak. Nice to see someone else saying this because I felt like I couldn’t mention my politics on here.

[–] bellatrixbells 0 points (+0|-0)

I feel you. At this point I think I might vote for Sheer.

[–] BlackMoonLilith 2 points (+2|-0) Edited

I'm gonna vote for Maxime Bernier (People's Party). He's the only politician who calls out the CBC and TRAs when they use ridiculous language like "pregnant people". (and edit:) Fewer taxes means less money for male boob jobs and more money in my pocket to eventually fund my own shelter with no government oversight. I know he probably won't get a single seat but voting for someone who doesn't believe TWAW would give me a little bit of happiness when submitting my vote.
