I was going to ask what school district this was, presuming it to be upper middle class white kids. Well, these figures alarm me:

Gender diversity was more common among teenagers who were not white.

The prevalence was just over 14% among Hispanic teens, and 10% among Black students. That compared with 7% of their white peers.

Why is this spreading among Hispanics? They are generally the most socially conservative of all. 10% of Black students? And here I thought Black women were not having this insanity. Well, the parents probably are not. It's the kids. This is alarming.

It makes sense that an ideology with deep roots in traditional gender roles would get popular among youth raised in a culture that already reinforces traditional gender roles. There's a lot of deeply entrenched Catholicism and notions of masculinity and femininity in a lot of Hispanic communities. For gay kids in those communities, they might be coping with homophobia by trying to change sex.

All the more important to have solid LGB resources and outreach. LGB. Not T.

Latching their T onto LGB has been nothing but harmful.

So I moved districts five years ago, from teaching at a school with 5% white kids to a school with 75% white kids. There are a lot of she/theys right now, but only a few who identify as something else to the point of requiring official documentation changes.

At my previous site, since about 2010, there was usually one official trans kid every other year in my classroom. However, I noticed a change in gender presentation of my female hispanic students since then as well. I grew up fat in the era of my hispanic classmates doing the harsh lip liner, big bangs, big Ben Davis/Dickies pants and plaid - so I wasn't unused to seeing hispanic girls wear masculine clothing, but with a mix of the performative femininity. The typical GNC girl look at school site I worked at was a white t-shirt, Dickies, un-broken baseball cap, absolutely no makeup, a long tight braid, and whatever was the hot sport shoe at the moment. Some of the boys wore the exact same look, braid and all. You could tell boys from girls from the obvious body shape differences and the flattening sports bras the girls were wearing. I didn't see the black girls or asian girls or the white girls doing anything quite like this.

These girls were always taciturn and "hard". They either hung out with someone like them or had a very pretty, feminine girlfriend. There were just so many! I only had one that required me to call her by a different name and as a boy (counseling got to me first because the parents had already sued the previous district she had transferred from.) The rest of them didn't care, but I could tell that for the most part, out of the classroom they went by neutral or masculine nicknames.

I asked my colleagues about it - pre-TRA craziness - and there was some speculation about a response to sexual abuse. I'm sure I wouldn't even be able to ask if I went back now.

Wow, that was shocking and sad. I've often heard there is a lot of violence and sexual violence in many Hispanic homes. There is everywhere, not just Hispanic homes, but if the area is majority Hispanic, then the victims will also be majority Hispanic.

A huge investigation needs to be launched into this. Is a rise in sexual abuse behind the TIF craze? It has to be. Of course, this abuse has always gone on, but clearly the Gender Lobby is preying on the victims now.

It really makes me wonder, but you can't ask questions these days.

I briefly worked at a school where a lot of the Hispanic kids were born in Mexico or were the children of parents who came from Mexico. From what I observed, Mexican culture has a "let's not talk about it" attitude towards sexual abuse. They don't ENDORSE it; but the girls are encouraged to just move on and not make a fuss (especially if reporting would get a family member in trouble). And pregnancies from these abuses are seen as "blessings". I was shaken when I encountered a 13 year old student who was pregnant and EVERYONE around her (including the teachers and the girl herself) were treating it like it was totally normal and an exciting, blessed event! The pregnant girl even gushed about how happy her dad was that she was having a boy because she only had sisters!

I mean...I guess its better than shaming her? But seeing everyone treat it like a totally normal pregnancy felt gross...

This struck me, as well. My educated guess would be that gender ideology has been so tied to woke culture in general (I.e. you can’t hear Black Lives Matter without a chorus of “Trans Lives Matter” shortly following, no matter the situation), that these kids are being exposed to it more now, whereas previously it was mostly upper middle class white kids with the luxury of spending all their time on Tumblr. My only hope is that their parents will be less prone to jump on board the crazy train than the suburban woker-than-thous.

I had to stop watching a documentary on Latina Brownies that aired on PBS because within 2 minutes of the documentary starting their woke troop leader (also Latina) started explaining the gender bread person to these like 6 year olds who shouldn't be concerned with this bullshit. So yeah, it's everywhere and not just well-off white areas.

I hate these fucking people who are teaching this propaganda to children. Inexcusable.

This seems accurate. TRAs have been piggy-backing hard on the BLM wave. They never fail to remind people that Black trans-women are the most oppressed people to ever exist and we must all bow to them.

The fact that this movement has especially taken hold amongst racial and ethnic minority youth in North America has been apparent for a while now. In the US, kids who are black, Hispanic, of Asian Pacific Island ethnicity and Native American heritage have higher rates of IDing as trans than white kids, as do First Nations kids in Canada. The idea that this is principally a phenomenon of white kids - and white kids from households that are relatively well-off financially - is a myth.

It's not an anomaly that the two boys in Connecticut to use "gender identity" claims to horn in on, and dominate in, girls' HS sports are both black. Both have devout Christian parents who themselves come from conservative black Christian families and communities in the Deep South.

In the US and Canada, gender vendors working in education, social work and "youth services" for a while now have been targeting kids who come into contact with school counselors, social services, child protective services and the justice system for any reason - be it learning disabilities, absenteeism, poor school performance, mental health problems, "disciplinary" problems, family troubles, single-parent and "broken" families, and kids who've run away or been kicked out of home or for whatever reason are in foster care.

The gender vendors also prey on single mothers with unhappy kids.

Many of these kids are the main "beneficiaries" (read: victims) of the fact that government programs like Medicaid and Medi-cal now pay for "transition" related "medical care" including for children. To wit, Trinity Neal, the first child in the state of Delaware to have been medically transed with Medicaid footing the bill. Trinity, a black boy with autism and a very troubled early childhood, was socially transed at four, put on puberty blockers at 12 and had his testicles removed and penis surgically inverted at age 16 - all at taxpayers' expense. Born in 2004, just a couple of years after Jazz Jennings, Trinity in 2017

became the first transgender minor in Delaware to be approved by Medicaid for puberty blockers to halt her sexual development.

“No matter how painful it is,” she said. “I want to achieve my goals.”

Trinity’s road to “truegender” is among the ones less traveled.

In preschool, she scored in the 98th percentile for clinical depression. She developed an anxiety-induced Pica eating disorder, gnawing on wood splinters from her bed and chewing holes in sheets and denim dungarees. She slept fitfully, plagued by nightmares about her voice plunging to Barry White depths.

Trinity’s mother, DeShanna, has spent a decade trying to convince family members, daycare providers, insurance executives, educators and ballet instructors that her biological boy’s “phase” didn’t have an expiration date. Trinity, who socially transitioned at age four and has autism, was insistent, consistent and persistent in identifying as a girl, according to DeShanna, who now works as a national transgender advocate.

Early on, DeShanna and her husband, Chris, consulted a gender identity therapist who confirmed their suspicions and spelled out the consequences of doing nothing. Suicide is the leading cause of death among transgender youth.

“Do you want a happy little girl or a dead little boy?” the gentle woman with the bob cut said, matter-of-factly.

Johanna Olson-Kennedy has said that a number of the kids she has transed through her clinic in CA have histories of drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness and quite a number have "done sex work."

How could you possibly know whether or not he would grow out of it if you repeatedly told a 4-year-old autistic child “yes you can change sex”???

It's insane. Transhausen by proxy.

The article mentions that the POC "gender diverse" kids aren't receiving care at the gender clinic, and this seems to be a concern for the doctor quoted in the article. That shit screams predatory to me. "Oh, we're only seeing white kids at the clinic? Well, that means this unreasonably high number of Black and Hispanic kids need to get their gender care too! We need to change aaaaalll of them." But in reality, that "gender affirming care" would be transitioning away a bunch of homosexual kids and/or rendering them infertile. That just seems extremely evil to me.

[–] ProxyMusic 9 points (+9|-0) Edited

Experts on this with an insider perspective that goes way back - like Steven Levine, MD, the psychiatrist who treated transsexuals since the 1970s and was head of the WPATH "standards of care" committee in the 1990s before he left the org altogether due to being fed up with the politics and the increasing abandonment of psychotherapy and a total disregard for evidence-based medicine and caution - say that black, Hispanic and other minority ethnicity kids have long been over-represented as "transgender medicine" patients. So many "gender clinics" have sprung up in North America in the past decade, that it's hard to tell what's going on, but none of them have any ethics - kids are being fed into an industrial-scale medical maw.

I thought it was odd that the article mentioned "the gender clinic" like there's only one. In most US cities now, there are several youth gender clinics and a plethora of independent practitioners who do "gender therapy" and "gender medicine."

Also, these days, going to a specialist gender clinic, therapist or doctor isn't necessary coz Planned Parenthood hands out hormones to persons of both sexes who want to "transition" as well as who "identify as" enby. Many PPs only prescribe "gender-related hormone treatment" to persons over 18, but some are now doing it at 16 & 17. The expansion of Medicaid to cover "gender affirming treatments" is key here coz the majority of PP clients use Medicaid to cover the cost of PP services.

I'm shocked, actually...but this is helpful. My daughter claimed this was the case, as I was arguing that NB seemed a luxury oppression.

There's even a "ball scene" for specially "black trans men" in the US called "Trans Man/Pretty Boy Realness" that goes back at least 15 years to 2007:

Also, let's not forget that the trans activist who went on a plethora of TV shows in the US to extoll going trans in the early 2000s (and maybe the late 90s too?) - and advised Jazz Jennings' mother about trans matters when Jazz was a toddler, recommending that the little boy be transed - was Maritza Cummings, an immigrant to the US from Cuba who grew up in a very conservative Christian home.

targeting families that are already vulnerable and kids already facing homophobia. awful.

Thank you for all that info. This is horrible. So any kid who gets involved with any "help" is getting trans-abused.

Then I'm sure they'll turn being against transing kids as "racism" to shut down any discussion, while the REAL racism is targeting these kids for the trans train.

This is an outrage.

This stat blew my mind. So this movement is ALSO attempting to sterilize minority children at alarming rates. Woke eugenics, indeed.
