AOC is right there fueling the fire.

This shit is going to shred her credibility. She's not going to be a major political force in her 40s and 50s.

AOC is too dumb to realize that this woke pandering won't be cute anymore when she's in her 40s.

I don't think so, people forget. Check out Biden's record, lol. Her career would be over if she went full terf right now.

If this is the hill the left wants to die on then... The left will die.

I always considered myself a leftist but this year I'll likely vote conservative for the first time in my entire life, because in my country they're the only ones against the self ID law.

Yup. I’m doing the same. For the first time ever. I will not stand for gender indoctrination being forced by the state onto kids, or for sex offender’s rights being enshrined into law, or for women being legally stripped of our boundaries.

Fuck any political party who stands for this utter garbage.

I will be voting conservative in my country for the first time. They’ve done a little trans pandering but it was pretty meaningless and nothing compared to the liberals.

I'm quite lucky that in my country, Germany, the conservatives are not that anti woman in general, it is Merkels party after all. In the US I'd probably vote third or abstain, which in my understanding comes out to be the same...

A lot of high profile TIMs are also wealthy, so I'm honestly not thinking this is too far out of bounds for truth.

Jennifer Pritzker, Caitlin Jenner, Martine Rothblatt, the Wachowski 'Sisters'… yep. Plus they've got the backing of lots of drug companies and executives, and some other billionaire philanthropists too

Agreed. Some of the most vehement trans & non-binary TRAs I know are rich kids desperate for a narrative in which they get to be the poor oppressed victim.

I’ll never forget that Harvard (or Yale? One of them) freak out from a few years back over Halloween costumes (if memory serves). Literally the most privileged youth on planet earth acting like snivelling toddlers. It was grotesque.

And then it got worse.

Its not surprising that the same trust fund brats who cried over Halloween costumes are 100% on board with trans shit

This is correct IMO. It's also white so many white upper middle class liberals with zero black neighbors have BLM signs on their lawns.

You can't discuss American racism and the lives of black Americans without discussing poverty. But that's what all these people around me are doing. It's a never ending circle jerk about gender and race and how we accept everyone. As long as they are educated enough to say all the right "anti racist" words, rich enough for the local real estate market and high taxes, and know how to display their wealth in non flashy ways, etc. I legit think it's this class anxiety.

There's a whole lot of elitist guilt behind the embrace of these movements and especially the "opt into oppression" queer trend. Not just trans, but it's also the suddenly pansexual enby and poly group who still functionally still date the opposite sex, but gain entry into the queer club anyway.

[–] BluecatSarah 3 points (+3|-0)

and also "identify out of oppression", which is even weirder.

Hell, my attackers didn't know what I "identified as" - they identified me, accurately, as a woman.

I've literally had a TIF tell me she had "identified [her] way to male privilege". as if - well, why doesn't everyone?

Personally I think it's the middle classes they're after. Working class politics was already swinging to the right that's too early neo liberalism.

Started big time around occupy Wall Street. Look up the google spikes in race relations around that time. They don’t want us plebs fighting them..they want us fighting each other.

[–] HessaHein 13 points (+13|-0)

This is why we need to focus on the material conditions of the people, over the gender feelings of the rich.

[–] RawSienna 3 points (+3|-0) Edited

The young genderists are the rich assholes’ useful idiots.
