Not sure if anyone watches this but it's a German tv program along the same format as The Bachelor but in this case it's 20 single women competing for a female. You can only watch it online in the EU but there are clips on Youtube (unfortunately without subs)

The first 5 episodes mostly consisted of them regularly cheering to "vulva/pussy power" etc But suddenly in episode 6, the candidates got into an argument because one candidate named Gea said they cannot cheer to women and vagina because not every woman has a vulva, some women have penises and she doesn't want anyone to be left out. One woman rightfully answered that she wouldn't date a woman with a penis because that's not what she is into sexually and Gea called her transphobic for that reason and made her cry. Out of the circle of women, only two spoke up against this ridiculous claim and it was worrisome to see it unfold with everyone being quiet.

I thought it was interesting to observe it dipping further into the mainstream. Every woman in the house defined herself as lesbian so if it's transphobic not to like penises, then wouldn't they all be hetero anyway?

Thank you for thsi thread. I did not follow the "transphobic" scene closely because I was so enraged about it, but I have a different feeling about it and the show as a whole.

First of all, most women on the show are lesbians, most of them also call themselves lesbian (which is unfortunatly not the norm), a few are bisexual or no-label. The women are believable, and yes, some have a past with dudes in their younger years, but that should not disqualify them from being a lesbian. The show does not feel to be catering to male viewers (just like Prince Charming is very much for gay men). It is very refreshing to see a show about lesbians for lesbians.

Having said that, lets move to the problem-character, Gea, before we move to the "transphobic" scene. Gea is non-binary, and, as she says, that also makes her trans. That is all we really know about her. Which begs the question: What is she doing a a show for women loving women? Gea is also the one who asked a butchy contestant, Saskia, if she wants a sex-change operation (no, Saskia is happy being a women). If anyone is planted in the show, it is Gea. My theory: The producers needed a trans character for woke points. But they could not go with a TIM, because that picture would have been too disturbing. So they went with a non-binary woman. The reason I think she is planted: She never went on a real date with the Princess, she barely even talked to her, and yet she is still on the show... odd, right?

Let's move on to the scene in question. 5 or 6 women where in the room when the discussion startet. Gea accused everybody with a dissenting opinion of being transphobic. Vicky agreed with her. Bine got attacked for being tranphobic. The rest either agreed with Bine or at least said that it is completely over the tops to call a sexual orientation transphobic. They conlcuded that there was no trans person and noone with a penis on the show. When Gea said that she is trans, everybody overheard it, propably because they thought that was just stupid. The only one agreeing with Gea was Vicky. It was great to see that the rest did not buy that bullshit and that Bine did not back down.

I can only hope that it was a peaking moment for many, many viewers. I for once used it as an opportunity to talk about the problems of trans ideology.
